About

A “Clew” is an archaic term for a thread. Most famously, in the Greek legend, a clew was used by Theseus as a guide to enter the labyrinth, slay the minotaur, and return to the normal world. Symbolically, The Clew is what weaves us all to the world and to each other.

Singer-Songwriter and Musician Cesar Cardona hails from Jacksonville, FL and now resides in Los Angeles, CA. A musician of over 16 years, he smoothly infuses alternative and pop with a distinct style of conscious music that uplifts and inspires. Cesar finds a nostalgic sound that gives a nod to his influences, Jimi Hendrix, Beethoven, and Jeff Buckley, but remains unique to him. His music pairs best with relaxation, studying, and destressing.

The Clew's first album “Americanvas”, released in 2021, is a playful and dreamy compilation of songs that really reflect Cesar’s passion for jazz and improvisation. The latest album, “The Heart Part Is The Hard Part” delves further into The Clew’s talent for instrumentals and intellectual maturity. It consists of 10 cerebral yet vulnerable songs in the pop/ rock/ and lo-fi realm. The Clew just released a brand new single and video called “Rosemary” that has been listened to over 10,000 times all around the world; available on all platforms. Cesar continues to write and create music as he performs live in Southern California.
